We have established the following guidelines to ensure the success of your advertorial and assist you in creating an editorial feel for your advertising while maintaining the consistency and accuracy of our publications. Your advertorial pages are designed by APN Educational Media as part of the service.
Advertorial text to be submitted via e-mail (as a Word file) 10 working days before the published deadline.
One-page Advertorial – 600-800 words
Two-page Advertorial – 1500-1800 words
Published as a website post and includes one automatic social media boost – 600-1000 words + 1 image + 1 logo
While your advertorial should accurately reflect your own views, we recommend the following standards set by APN for this advertising format:
- Write from a third-person perspective.
- Quote outside sources for authoritative copy and to support your viewpoint.
- Present ideas and solutions clearly and simply using no advertising language.
- Identify the writer with a byline, full name and company.
- At least one form of contact information should be included, most commonly a company website. We also recommend an email address and phone number.
The copy you provide will be used as is; we may make minor proofing corrections, but at this time we do not offer rewrites or extensive editing/clean up.
Please include 2-5 images to accompany your copy. All images MUST be high resolution (at least 4000px wide @ 300dpi). Lower resolution images may be omitted if their quality is deemed unacceptable for print. Preferred file formats for images are JPG. Logos may also be submitted as AI or EPS (vector) files. Images will be chosen based upon composition, quality and what works best for the layout.
The layout will be done in accordance with the editorial style guide of the magazine but with the addition of ‘ADVERTORIAL’ clearly marked at the top of page.
We will send you two proofs throughout the process. The first will be sent once the initial layout has been created, upon which you may submit minor changes/corrections. The second will be sent once those changes have been received and implemented. If the first proof is sent and we do not receive any changes or are unable to get a hold of you before our press deadline, we reserve the right to run the advertorial in its current state. Extensive changes/reworks and additional proofs may be subject to additional charges.
Terms & Conditions
No advertorial will be accepted that is misleading, deceitful, fraudulent, unlawful, or reflects unfavourably on an individual, race, religion, gender, occupation, or institution or maligns the products and/or services of another company.
All “live” online advertorial will be expired one year from date of publication.
The proofs supplied during the layout process are for APN Educational Media publications only, and may not be supplied to other publications.
